El Taquito Restaurant

The server we had was awesome. We sat down and was offered drinks and we looked through the menu. We ordered and sat and waited. We got a call from my sister that she was leaving the hospital with her new baby. So we had to quickly ask for our food to be made into takeout. The server was so kind and quick to be of assistance. He even congratulated us on the new baby. Such wonderful shrimp tacos!!! I was so happy to find good Mexican food in NorCal. Having lived in SF for over 15 years I had a hard time finding any good Mexican food on the peninsula side of the bay. Such a good find and cannot wait to go again.

On our way home back to Orange County, we stopped at El Taquito in Hayward, and my daughter ordered the chilaquiles verdes with chicken and I ordered chorizo and eggs, and both meals were so tasty.  The chilaquiles were exceptional and the best I've ever had considering I live in Southern California where Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen.  The chorizo was fresh and delicious.  My husband ordered a Carne Asada wet burrito and the Carne Asada was tasty.  My husband was pleased. I liked this place because their food is very similar to how I cook.  We will definitely be returning.  Oh one more thing, I found this establishment small, but clean and even the restrooms were clean.  The owner was friendly too! I could see why El Taquito is a busy place because the food and service was superb.

Awesome spot for family style Mexican food. VERY fast service. Better than average food. Nice indoor vibe. This is a wonderful place for food before an Oakland Roots soccer game!

I gave them 4 stars because I like their service, beans and rice. Their burritos are good, not great. Crazy their chili rellenos are not made the traditional way. It was like a crepe egg wrapped around a chile.

Top notch food, service and vibes at a great value.   The only restaurant we go to every single week without fail for good reason. Love them!

Been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant for a while. This place had a pretty big menu, big portions for fair prices, and the service was great. Food was done fast, servers were friendly, and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was chill and good music. Would recommend and go again!

I love this place! All the food here is great. The carnitas are cooked perfectly. Also, their tortas are the best!

They're NOT stingy with their meat  I must say they were amazing. The tortilla reminded me of Tijuana and service was great, the waiters would keep asking if we were doing okay or needed anything (not too pushy)

El Taqueria in Hayward has been a go to place for authentic Mexican food and especially the tacos. They opened a 2nd location in hayward too. This review is for the downtown mission street location. The food is very authentic and everyone preparing food is well versed on the menu items and cook with experience some employees / owners have decades of experience. The tacos are excellent and the tostadas are huge. They also serve seafood and specials. They have a to go window curbside, many tables inside and my favorite the counter seats. El Taqueria menu items did have a VERY slight deviation in 2 items I ordered by $1.00 each, side order of beans $1 more and ala cart tostada $1 more these two charges will never stop me from going back because the food and the employees are 100% excellent. I highly recommend El Taquito they also have 6 meat options and excellent seafood.
